Ask the Mayor to Issue a Proclamation for a Cause I Support

1. Call the Mayor’s Office at (260) 356-1400 ext. 2000 or email Administrative Assistant Amber Rensberger to express your interest and discuss the potential proclamation.

2. After your request has been reviewed, work with the Mayor’s Office to set a date, time and location for your proclamation. Most proclamation ceremonies are held in Council Chambers at the City Building, but other locations may be considered.

3. You will be contacted by Communications Coordinator Kevin Krauskopf to provide information, key details and materials that will be used to prepare the proclamation and accompanying press release.

4. Invite your guests to the proclamation ceremony. We will contact local media on your behalf.

5. Attend your proclamation ceremony. We will typically document a proclamation ceremony with photos and share information about it on the City’s website and social media page. You are welcome to take and share photos as well.
