Work has been ramping up the past two weeks at Riverfork West, a new 172-acre industrial park under development between the City of Huntington and Huntington County United Economic Development.

Contractors for the city have been constructing a new roadway called Progress Drive at the entrance on 200 N just west of Highway 9. They have begun work to widen 200 N and will also add a turn lane from southbound Highway 9. Water mains to service the site and storm sewer lines are among the other infrastructure that will be built.

At the same time, contractors for Teijin Automotive have been constructing the steel frame for Teijin’s new 164,400 square-foot facility at Riverfork West. Locally known as Continental Structural Plastics, this will be their second Huntington location, with an expected addition of more than 200 new jobs when it reaches full employment.
